Ken Tucker
With a background in radio, record promotion and artist management, Nashville-based journalist Ken Tucker brings a rare combination of insight to readers. After working as a country radio air personality, Tucker joined trade publication Radio & Records in 1990, where he worked first as an
associate editor, then as director of sales for the Nashville office.
Later he moved to Warner Bros. Records, where as national director of country
promotion he was involved in the careers of Faith Hill, Jeff Foxworthy, Dwight Yoakam and David Ball, among others.
After working as an artist manager, Tucker returned to journalism and most recently served as Nashville Correspondent for Billboard and Sound Decisions and Radio Editor for sister publication Radio & Records. His stories have appeared on Web sites and in newspapers around the world.
Tucker has interviewed a wide variety of industry leaders and stars, including Clive Davis, Barry Manilow, John Hogan, Dan Mason, Sheryl Crow, Al Franken, Larry the Cable Guy, Taylor Swift, Bobby Brown and Dee Snider, among others. A respected music business observer, Tucker has been quoted by the Chicago Tribune, Philadelphia Inquirer and London Observer, among other media outlets.
