Mark Montgomery

Mark Montgomery co-founded echo in 1999 with the idea that the future of entertainment marketing would be based on the direct connection between fans and the brands they love.  Mark laid out that vision and built online hubs for these brands to connect with and grow their communities.  Through this vision, echo, based in Nashville, Tennessee, is now a trusted, recognized industry leader in the online entertainment space.

Today, echo serves more than 300 clients, and provides a broad range of professional services including site design, marketing, brand integration, fan club/community building, e-commerce and street marketing.  Beyond music, echo also serves Fortune 100 companies, sports teams, record labels, cable television, and media properties.

In March 2007, echo proved so attractive that IAC/Ticketmaster acquired a majority stake in the company.  While maintaining the company’s core strengths of strategy, creativity, and technology, Mark has positioned echo to become a world leader in the online entertainment space.  He sits on the board of numerous industry and professional organizations, including the Americana Music Association and the Academy of Country Music and is also a current voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Science (NARAS).

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Mark was awarded the honor of Nashville Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006.  echo was the recipient of the Best In Business Award in Nashville in 2005 and 2006, and in 2007, echo was named a Music City Future 50 company.
