Duncan Freeman, BandMetrics Founder/President, is an entrepreneur developing applications for the indie music industry. He co-founded Skribit and blogs @ IndieMusicTech. Indie Music Tech is owned and operated by Indie Music, Inc., a music technology company founded by Duncan Freeman in 2006 and headquartered in Atlanta, GA. The goal of the IndieMusicTech blog is to discuss the next generation of Internet products and services that are enabling the indie music industry, and how artists can effectively utilize this kind of technology to market and promote their music.

The company released its private beta of BandMetrics in September of 2008; a semantic web application that collects, analyzes and displays dynamic popularity and trends about musicians created by our ArtistDish podcast cohort Duncan Freeman has just launched in private beta. The site, which can most easily be described as Google Analytics for musicians, has already been named a TechCrunch50 2008 semi-finalist and DemoPit participant.
