Pinky Gonzales
Managing Partner, serving as the Director of Business Development, echomusic

Pinky Gonzales began his career managing and booking artists in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1990’s.  Within a year he had toured across the country and around the European continent with a Latin Disco Punk band, assisted in the production of San Francisco’s largest-ever independent music festival and discovered conclusively that it’s really, really hard to make money the music business. Partly to prove it could be done, and also just to freak his parents out, Pinky and his wife moved to Los Angeles in the year 2000, where he was recruited by legendary artist manager Danny Goldberg (Nirvana, Beastie Boys, Bonnie Raitt) and artist/producer Todd Rundgren to launch an “artist subscription service.”  The plan was simple – to create a means for artists and fans to interact with each other directly.  The concept was solid, but perhaps ahead of its time.  When the business hit a wall, Pinky made his way to Nashville, TN, where he spent a year and a half with the Country Music Association in New Business Development.  Recognizing a need for new media services throughout the Nashville music community, he founded Artist Media Group in December of 2001.  After signing DreamWorks Records (RIP), future super-group Rascal Flatts and American Idol Kelly Clarkson to his roster, Pinky spent four years refining a fan management and marketing strategy that would support itself financially, continually expand an artist’s fan base and facilitate a means for artists to sell their music, merch and concert tickets directly to fans.  The plan worked, and in 2005 AMG merged with echomusic, which has since expanded its roster to include Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Sugarland, Lee Ann Rimes, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean and nearly 300 others.  In March of 2007, TicketMaster purchased a majority stake in echomusic, dramatically extending echomusic’s reach into the entertainment industry world-wide.  Pinky Gonzales is currently a Managing Partner, serving as the Director of Business Development.
